New Banner ad for Moog Prodigy

Great image of first generation moog users.

If you are wondering who that is, it is Tony Banks

Look at the Patrick Moraz double keyboard moog.

This is the patch sheet that came witht the minimoog manual.

This patch sheet easily allows you to record various setting for sounds.

Minimoog

The minimoog synth is a classic. Every bit as powerful and forceful as a lead guitar, if not more so. It is a purely analog device, and that means is uses a voltage controlled oscillator, a voltage controlled filter and a voltage controlled amplifier. When is came out in 1970, it cost $1495. When I bought mine in 1993, it cost me about $800. Today I see them going for 2 or 3 thousand dollars, and surely that number can only rise.
It is interesting to note that the biggest problem of the minimoog is perhaps it's drifting oscillators. This can but a bit annoying as it is hard to keep the instrument perfectly in tune, but this also give the instrument life and it's rich sound.
